CLS is a systemically important financial market utility and the largest multi-currency cash settlement system, eliminating settlement risk for over half of the world’s FX payment instructions (~$6 trillion per day). Owned by 70+ major global banks and regulated by 23 central banks including the US Federal Reserve.

  • Lead a global team responsible for architecture and development of new strategic initiatives, data engineering, web applications, API platforms, and migration to cloud
  • Partner with product managers in the development of new products and product roadmaps
  • Responsible for portfolio planning, budgets, delivery, and driving the technology strategy
  • Lead technology discussions and interface with external parties integrating with CLS systems
  • Delivered the CLSDirect Platform — CLS’s secure web-based portal and API gateway, with 5 products launched and 200+ corporate clients since 2019
  • Led delivery of LedgerConnect — a DLT-based app store POC with participation from 9 major global banks and multiple fintech application providers

  • Experience Management Platform — Enabled business users to create, update, and deploy web pages and content in a live environment with approval workflows and Spanish localization. The runtime component efficiently rendered pages and handled millions of customer requests daily.
  • Marketing Content Management Platform — Centralized repository of all marketing content ensuring consistency across channels. Managed configuration for credit card campaigns, customer-level offers, sign-in/out splashes, targeted ads. Leveraged by web and mobile apps, integrated with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • API Gateway — Authenticated, authorized, created, published, and monitored APIs at scale. All mobile apps and vendor integrations used the gateway, supporting millions of interactions daily.

  • Corporate Action Platform — Automated and transformed manually intensive operational processes. Received corporate actions from DTCC and agents, consolidated positions and trades in real-time, calculated entitled positions, and enabled institutional clients to manage events and elections online.
  • CitiVelocity.com — Investment banking portal providing a single point of entry for all of Citi’s clients, using a federated approach to content generation where each application retained its own development and operations team.
